AC Shadows Introduces Surprising AoT Event for Thanksgiving

In a surprising crossover event that defies traditional expectations, the game developer has unveiled an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Revealed

According to the formal release, "A strange meeting leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where whispers of forbidden ceremonies and terrifying transformations echo through the shadows." The plot introduces a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a clandestine sect.

The adventure focuses on "bizarre trials and a terrifying adversary" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Settings and Metamorphoses

The preview highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview finishes with a striking scene showing a character, likely the hostage, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Items and Bonus Features

Players who successfully complete the mission will receive an unique katana together with multiple objects concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:

Latest Free Story Update

This patch also adds the game's third no-cost story episode, titled "The Enigma." True to its name, "The Enigma" also features a new environmental puzzle that may finally explain some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
